Out On The Bike
Sunday, March 06, 2005
Let me take you back to the 2004 Chicago Triathlon that took place last August. The reason for this stroll down memory lane is that the Chi Tri was the last time I was on my bike. Well, my biking hiatus came to a screeching halt today as the weather was finally nice enough for me to dust off the old Trek 2000, put some air in the tires and head out Clayton Road. We were able to get in 20 miles which was just enough to clear the biking cobwebs. While spinning has helped, biking outside is a different game. Legs felt pretty good. Bike needs to head over to Maplewood for a tune up. No complaints - getting 20 miles on March 6th isn't too bad.
2 New Sites
Saturday, March 05, 2005
In the spirit of good sportsmanship, I put my creative abilities to work and generated two new websites for our opponents:
www.irondenlow.blogspot.com
This site contains all of the sordid details of an attorney's quest to swim 2 laps without stopping.
AND
www.ironbeth.blogspot.com
This provides all of the online details of Beth's training for Vineman 2005 and her goal of kissing as many guys along the way as possible.
It is my sincere hope that Beth and Bob will not let us down and will use their websites to detail all of their training. This way I can read about everything they are doing and replicate it so that we are all equally trained.
