USAT Rankings

The USAT has released their final 2005 national rankings. I attempted to understand how these ratings were derived and failed miserably. It is just important to understand that these rankings are an important gauge in monitoring each athlete's performance against the nation's best. They are also helpful in comparing an athlete's personal performances from one year to the next. But, most importantly I HAVE A BETTER RANKING THAN TOM ROSENTHAL. After that, nothing else matters. Here is how our group stacked up in their respective age divisions...ATHLETE / RANK / POINTS
Nancy Lieberman 98 out of 162 (60.5 percentile) 57.9858 points
Carol Wright 140 out of 661 (21.2 percentile) 70.9180 points
Jim Wright 147 out of 296 (49.7 percentile) 65.7570 points
Tom Irwin 553 out of 675 (81.9 percentile) 59.8547 points
Mike Pepper 1182 out of 1767 (66.9 percentile) 67.5662 points
John Strassner 1919 out of 2334 (82.2 percentile) 65.3979 points
Tom Rosenthal 2401 out of 2912 (82.5 percentile) 64.6182 points
