Let's Take The Bike For A Spin - OUTSIDE

Sunday, March 26, 2006

Mark the calendar, March 26th - first outdoor bike ride of the season. Mike, Julie and I took advantage of the 52 degree temps and took the bikes off of the trainers and down to Forest Park. It was great to finally GET OUT. We were fortunate to run into Kevin and Lesa Sees who snapped a few pics of us. Make sure that you check out their website, http://www.seesthemoment.com/ in the near future.

STL Track Club 1/2 Marathon

Sunday, March 19, 2006

We posted a good time at the Track Club 1/2 Marathon today - 1:49:20 - not bad for an early season 1/2. With a little bit of speed work we should be able to replicate this performance in a few weeks at the St. Louis 1/2 marathon and will be on our way to having a good season. This was a good race with possibly the best race shirt (yes, it is possible to design a race t-shirt that participants will actually WANT to wear again) we have seen in a long time. Pepper got a finishers medal so he was happy. All in all, a good event put on by the St. Louis Track Club. Here are a couple of pics courtesy of Pepper...

The boys at the end of the race. Pepper, TPR, Mr. Wright, Kevin, Strass & Roger.

Stretching the hamstrings out after running 13.1 miles.

The obligatory shot with Mina - just to piss of Kevin.

St. Patricks Day Run

Saturday, March 11, 2006

The boys meet at Forest Park for a 6 mile jaunt down to the start of the race. Five miles was not enogh for Bill, Steve, Tommy, Seichii and me - we had to make it an 11 mile day by starting earlier and running downtown.

A crowded starting line - what do you expect with 8,000 runners. Can't imagine how long the beer line will be after the race.

TPR feeling confident after all of his training sessions with Matt. If he doesn't set a PR today then the training wasn't worth it.

As for me, I am just looking for a cute Irish gal to run with today. It will definitely take the Luck Of The Irish for me to finish strong after doing 11 miles.
