New Training Diet

Pepper put away the GU, Ultragen and Gatorade and finally came up with a manly meal that none of his training partners (other than Bill Cragg) would touch with a ten foot pole. In fact, I am not at all convinced that Pep ate any of his own creation. Here is his recipe that makes approximately 8-10 bowls if using macaroni noodles. If Rosenthal is eating then it makes enough for 9-11 bowls...Pep’s Turkey ChiliMac Recipe
· 2.5 cloves of garlic
· 2 medium size yellow onions
· ½ chopped small jalapeño pepper
· 2 large celery stalks
· 2.25 bullions of chicken broth in 3 cups water
· 1 ¼ lb of ground turkey
· Paprika-dash to taste
· Onion powder-dash to taste
· 2 tbl spoon chopped fresh cilantro
· ½ Corona Beer
· ½ tbl spoon cumin
· 3 tbl spoon chili powder
· ½ chopped red bell pepper
· 1 chopped green bell pepper
· Salt & onion powder to taste.
· 15 oz. Hunt’s tomato sauce
· 14.5 oz. Hunt’s stewed tomatoes
· 28 oz. RoTel Original Diced tomatoes & green chilies- use only 21oz. & most of the juice
· 16 oz. elbow macaroni noodles
Sauté onions, peppers, garlic, jalapeno, celery for approx 15 min. Add ground turkey and brown in large pot, then add remainder of ingredients and simmer low heat for 2 hours.
Boil macaroni noodles just prior to serving. Put noodles in a bowl and chili on top of noodles. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese to taste.
