Deer Creek Ride

Monday, April 26, 2010

Jason Soden introduced me to the widely popular Deer Creak Valley ride today. It basically consists of a 15 mile uphill climb through the mountains which is spectacular. I can honestly say that the downhill was much more fun than the uphill! Click PLAY BUTTON to see what I am talking about...

TRI ZOU T-SHIRT

Monday, April 12, 2010

I gotta be honest - I took one look at the 2010 TRI ZOU t-shirt and thought very seriously about flying to Columbia, MO to meet Tommy for this race. I know that he usually likes to do this one solo (has Pep ever made the trek??) but it just might be worth it in order to get this Tiger T.

The Blog Is Back

Pepper weighs in on the return of jstrassner.com...

A couple of things.... First "IM Wisconsin is in the books" MUST COME DOWN!!! You are way beyond the allowable timeto make that comment. Also "Sales 140.6" is a scam. Let me guess, you will be asking for a cash deposit soon for those who want to get in on the first printing....This is nothing but a Ponsi scheme !!! Finally, there is no mention this morning of Tommy and my PR at GO!, Bills countless hours massaging the young women at GO!,and Seiichi's addiction to mountain biking. No one cares about the Rockies opener. Lets get some local coverage, baby! MP

Rosenthal...

How about “Follow John on his latest challenge-completing a FULL IRONMAN. This site takes you through the journey to finish the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run that is IRONMAN.”

That was three f…kin years ago and it is not your latest challenge???

You haven’t been in a pool since, you just started riding again, and run on a Treadmill occasionally.

I am glad that you include Bob/Lynn/Beth on the Training Team since we basically have not run with any of them in it seems like years.

Glad the site is back again though………………………..

Noda...

I'm glad the site is back up also. I think you should upgrade it a little with some music like you did forsome of your old slide shows. Maybe something like Bruce Springsteen's "Glory days". ?

Red Rocks Ride

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Training has begun in earnest for the Triple Bypass. Ran 6 miles this morning and then jumped on the bike in the afternoon for a 40 mile trip out to Red Rocks and back. This was a great ride. The legs should now be nice and loose for some spring skiing at Breckenridge tomorrow. Training in Colorado is pretty spectacular - it resembles one big commercial for REI.

ROX Opening Day

Friday, April 09, 2010

Did a little carbo loading at the Rockies Home Opener today. The Rockies won 7-0 on a gorgeous afternoon in the Mile High City. Nice start to a great weekend.

Bolder Boulder

Thursday, April 08, 2010

Registration is now open for this year's Bolder Boulder. This is an awesome 10k that takes place in Boulder on Memorial Day. So, if you are looking to upgrade from the U City run then look no further than Colorado!! I am expecting Suzy to set a PR at this race (should be easy since she finished in about 75 minutes last year)...click here
